Syed Sahil Agha is one of the leading Dastangoi artists.  He belongs to Amir Kusrow Sufi Sillsila.(Dastangoi 13th century oral storytelling art form) Agha's book, Dastan-e-Hind, is a collection of his dastans, that has inspired successful performances by many artists around the globe. Three movies have also been based on Agha's stories, Pari Khana, Sanam Khana & Maya. Zee Salam TV has broadcasted a series based on Agha's stories named Dastangoi. The series is still listed in the top 10 viewed series. Agha has also authored the script and dialogues of a Doordarshan TV series, Ghalib Umrao Begum. He has won many awards and titles from different prestigious organisations. Prominent celebrities like Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Shoaib Akhtar and Raza Murad have words of praise for his work.
