Hema Subramanian is an educator and a professional storyteller.  She has been telling stories for years as an educator and continues her passion for storytelling as a professional. Her stories are unique as they are interspersed with poems that she loves to pen. She at times narrates the stories that she writes, especially the ones based on STEM concepts. She has created a 8 level curriculum for creative writing in English for children called PenTalk and conducts workshops for children and adults.  She is the co-founder and holds the post of treasurer at Mumbai Storytellers Society. She has been a part of the core team organising the Gaatha International Storytelling Festival 2023 and the MIST Mumbai International Storytelling Festival. Her storytelling performances at the Kanoon International Festival 2022, Mumbai International Storytelling Festival (MIST) 2022, Gaatha- Mumbai International Storytelling Festival 2023 and at Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival amongst others were very well received.
